Ceognition is operated by [Legal Entity Name], a company registered in [Jurisdiction]. When this document says "we" or "us," it refers to that company. When it says "you," it refers to the person using Ceognition under a paid account.

Ceognition is a thinking partner for decisions. You begin a session and speak or write with the AI. At the end of some sessions, a Decision Brief is generated. At the end of others, no Brief is generated. Both outcomes are by design.

The substance and quality of any given conversation depends on what you bring to it. We do not promise specific outcomes. We promise that the AI will engage seriously with what you say, in the practice of structured questioning, and that the conversation will be private.

You can use Ceognition for any decision or topic that benefits from structured thinking. You can use the Decision Brief artifacts however serves you, in any context, including sharing them with others or referencing them in your work. The Briefs are yours.

You cannot use Ceognition to harm others, plan illegal activity, or violate the rights of any person. You cannot share your account credentials with someone else; each account is for one person.

You cannot use Ceognition to extract or reverse-engineer the underlying models, methodologies, or system. You cannot scrape the marketing site or attempt to access the product through means other than the intended ones.

You cannot resell access to your account or offer Ceognition's output as a service to your own customers. This is a personal thinking tool, not an infrastructure layer for other products.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, in advance, on the date you began your current term. Annual subscriptions are billed once for the full term. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each new month.

Prices are listed on the pricing page and are charged in US dollars. If your bank converts the charge to another currency, you may see small variations due to exchange rates and fees outside our control.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — the end of the month for monthly subscriptions, the end of the year for annual subscriptions. You retain access through that period.

We do not offer prorated refunds on annual subscriptions. If you cancel mid-year, you keep access until the year ends, then your subscription ends without further charges.

Ceognition, the AI system, the lineage of methodologies we draw from, and the marketing site are our property. You do not gain any rights to these by using Ceognition.

Your conversations and the Decision Briefs that result from them are yours. We do not claim ownership over what you produce in a session.

Ceognition is a thinking partner. It is not a substitute for professional advice — legal, financial, medical, or otherwise. The conversations may help you think through a decision, but the decision is yours and the consequences of that decision are yours.

We do not guarantee that Ceognition will be available without interruption, that any specific Brief will be generated, or that the AI will respond in any particular way. We do our best to provide a reliable service. We cannot promise more.

If you have a complaint about Ceognition, write to us first. We will try to resolve it directly. If we cannot, disputes will be resolved according to the laws of [Jurisdiction] and in the courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be communicated to you by email at least thirty days before they take effect. Continued use of Ceognition after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
